hi kids. well, samit, i suppose i can take a hint. although i'm not sure that you care to know of my boring goings-on..... no crazy camel rides quite yet, chillen.. but things have been snazzy in the good 'ol NH.

i spent the last 4 days being pretend-mommy for my uncle's kids while he and his wife went off to the birkshires for a romantic anniversary getaway. and after not killing my 7, 5, and 2 year old cousins i can honestly say i'm a damn good pretend mommy. but LORD i do NOT want kids for a LOOOOOOOOOONG time. whoah. and i will probably have a stupid disney channel made-for-tv movie soundtrack stuck in my head for weeks. (damn you, "repeat all" button!!)....

and i started my kayak fun love job of glory. which is sweet. all the people are very chill nh surfer-crunchy laid back types.... thus, i feel at ease.... and look forward to some great paddles this summer. and some sweet hiking trips, too. (this is what nh looks like on a fab hike.)

went out on the water for a really long paddle with a friend from highschool last week, and it was glorious. gloooorious.

in other news, i have been in btown a bunch - meeting up with the likes of cacilda (who is currently having a ben affleck flick filmed AT her house...and joining gyms because of the hot trainers) and lily (whose parents i met - they seem cool, although not much conversing was to be had. her mom has purple hair. and her dad loves his digital camera. right lily? i love you!!! pretty please post your pic of us. unless i look stupid. then don't post it.) and hung out with anne (as she mentioned previously) and her sister (who sounds EXACTLY like her! and looks like her from profile)... and some friends from h/s.

and you know, lots of family fun. which is always nice. except for all the eating. which gets kind of uncomfortable. (grandmothers stuffing food down your throat and punishing refusal with burning hot guilt).

and my mom bought me new shoes. because she loves me. and i was feeling sad.
that one's for anne. (big shock: hazel secretly hearts hot shoes.)
